Over the last couple of weeks we have continued our work with computation. Students completed a subtraction with regrouping QR code scavenger hunt where they were challenged with word problems that required single and multi-step computation, subtraction with regrouping, and subtraction across zeros. Additionally, students worked in cooperative groups to match word problems with computation models. They were then charged with writing an equation that matched the action of the word problem and solve! For a final challenge, students were given an equation and asked to write a word problem to match!
We will be moving into geometry next! Students will be working to create a stained glass window that incorporate a multitude of geometric concepts!
