Second graders hit the ground running following an amazing spring break! During reading/LA time, students started mapping out the code for the Ozobot to follow in order to move through the playground they created for Ozobot to act out their fairy tales. Using the Ozoblockly program, students connected blocks of code, loaded the code to the Ozobot and tested the code out on the playground. They are finding they have to problem solve and figure out a few tweaks to make the Ozobot move smoothly through the playground. They are working hard and thinking critically!
We also finished our multiplication city-scapes this week! After a quick review of all of the new multiplication vocabulary we learned before break (factors, product, commutative property, array), students finished finding all of the arrays for the products they were given and then used those arrays to represent their product in a city-scape. They did an amazing job! Pictures to come!
