To continue our enrichment unit on money, students traveled to multiple stations. Each station required students to count money, make money amounts, compare money amounts, and add and subtract with money. Students enjoyed many of the following 6 station offerings:
Computer Games
*Students were provided with a variety of online activities that had them counting,
comparing, and computing with money!
Fishing For Change
*Students caught a fish from the pond and solved the money problem on the fish.
Money Task Cards
*Students worked in teams to complete a series of challenging task cards.
Money Challenge - Problem Solving Activity
*Students had to solve a series of word problems that all linked together in order to
determine a final money amount.
Keep the Change
*Students are given a price list of items that were sold in a store. They were then
given a list of items to buy and the amount of money they had to pay for the items. They had to then find the change they would receive after paying for the items.
What's a Word Worth?
*Students played in pairs to make words. Once a word was made per the challenge
card directions, students compared the value of their words in order to determine
the winner!

Ancient Egypt Projects Under Construction
This week students were placed in groups to begin their Ancient Egypt PBL project. Each student came up with a question they had about Ancient Egypt and began researching the answers both online and in texts. They will compile the information that everyone on the team has gathered and make a solid presentation.
