This week we continued to practice working with elapsed time. After some review, students work individually to complete two elapsed time activities - Versatile Challenge and Elapsed Time Riddler.
In the Versatile Challenge, students answered elapsed time questions, found the answer in the answer bank, and then placed the matching tile on the Versatile board. Once all of their answers were in place, they closed the board, flipped it, and opened it back up to reveal a pattern. If the pattern matched the one found on the bottom of the activity handout, they knew they had gotten all of the answers correct!

In the Elapsed Time Riddler, students solved a number of elapsed time problems. As they solved each problem correctly, they were able to scan a QR code which revealed a secret letter. This secret letter was recorded on a special decoder paper. Once all of the secret letters had been found, it revealed a special "time" related message - Tick-Tock-U-Rock!
Bee Bots Continued
We continued our coding adventures with the Bee Bots this week. Just like last week, students worked to write the code to get their Bee Bot from one location on the grid to the next, accounting for the Bee Bot's orientation on the grid and obstacles all around the Bee Bot. Students had a blast and really got the hang of writing code for the Bee Bots!
