This week in Project Success, students worked on auditory focus. We started the week by talking about the where, when, how, and why of listening. Students helped create a poster for display in the room and then practiced actively listening carefully as we played a fun passing game. Students listened carefully as I read a fun poem about learning. Each time they heard the word learn, or any form of the word learn, they pass an object to their right. At the end of the poem, teams passing the object the correct amount of times were praised for their good listening skills.
Other activities from this week were:
Say and Do
Simon Says
Listen and Draw
Telephone
